Danang Customs Department Headquarters
Project Overview
IBSTAC Architects & Planners (formerly the Architecture Department of the Institute for Building Science and Technology – IBST) proudly won Second Prize in the Architectural Design Competition for the Danang Customs Department Headquarters, surpassing more than 17 competing firms.
Located on Bach Dang Street, one of the most beautiful and strategic boulevards in Danang City, the project is not only an important administrative headquarters but also envisioned as an architectural landmark of Central Vietnam.
Design Highlights
The concept design by IBSTAC stands out for its modernity, sustainability, and harmonious integration with the Han River landscape.
-
Architectural Identity: A contemporary design language symbolizing transparency, progress, and efficiency in public administration.
-
Urban Context: The building’s form and orientation connect seamlessly with the riverside urban fabric of Danang, enhancing visual continuity and cultural resonance.
-
Sustainable Approach: Use of environmentally friendly materials and passive design solutions to optimize energy performance.
-
Symbolic Meaning: The project serves as a gateway of connection — between tradition and innovation, administration and community, architecture and nature.
The Danang Customs Department Headquarters exemplifies IBSTAC’s design philosophy: creating public buildings that are not only functional but also culturally significant and environmentally responsible, contributing to the modern image of Danang City.
